What's going on with us?

The usual stuff is going on with the Hughes.

Dave is scheduled to PCS (move) this summer. Looks like we will be heading to England or Riverside, CA (about 45 minutes from Dave's sister). We are excited about both opportunities and can't wait to hear.

On Sat, Feb 7th, I was thinking about jewelry, you would think this isn't related to our adoption but I was thinking of a creating a mother's necklace. I felt this overwhelming knowledge that a girl has been born that will join our family. I will have to check back to this post to see if I am right.

I have printed off our Special Needs checklist and workbook. We will get that done in the next few days. I emailed the Waiting Child coordinator and she said it is about a 6 month wait to have a child, specifically a girl with minor or correctable needs, become available because the waiting list has grown. She is encouraging us to go for more major SNs, a boy or a girl over 2 to cut the wait down. But if we get our stuff in now, it will probably work out about right. If we move in the next couple months we can get settled, then begin the final wait, then probably another 3-5 months to bring our baby home.

Our first homestudy update is scheduled for 2/25.

My contract with TOS is finished. They said I did great, they are just tight on funds. So with Speech Therapy over and my job (at the end of the month it will be over), what am I going to be doing with all my free time. Oh, keep the house perfectly clean as it is on the market. :)

Zach spent about a month in 18 month clothing. I scheduled his 6 month photos and got him 24 month clothing. He is bigger than Asher. About 1/3 of Asher's 18 month clothing is spring/summmer. Zach is a huge sweetie.

Josie has been sick for a few days. She had to skip swimming class, but we found out that she is passing!!! So after 8 times in the Pike class she will move on. But I think we will take a break.

Asher is a big character. Just a beautiful, smart, crazy boy.

And I am to the point where I am done with the baby weight. I will not jump through the hoops I have had to in order to get pregnant with my 3. Just done. If God wants me to have a child I will. But the weight is gone! My legs still hurt from cleaning out the gardens on Sunday (yes we skipped church because Josie was sick). And then I went to the Y yesterday.

Dave is doing well. He is busy with work and as excited as I am about moving.
