Update on us.

Obviously the adoption is creeping along at a snails pace. But I found out that China decided to give out more referrals this month. For sure one more day. This is great! I guess we never know what to expect. I have been following referrals for the last year and they always give them out at the beginning of the month. Well they did. So I guess I can't say always. The sooner babies without families get into their family the better. Yeah!!!!

Yesterday I got some great news that I have been chosen for a marketing class with The Old Schoolhouse magazine. It could lead to either temoporary or permanent work from home. So that will be great to help fund our adoption. If that doesn't work out, just getting the old gears turning again will feel good.

We have also been researching our next assignment. We hope to move next summer. Dave's work is trying to figure out how to hold onto him. He would have to get a waiver, which we don't want to count on. Dave really wants to go back to flying and end his career doing so. That will help him get a commercial flying job after this final assignment. The top of our list right now is Ramstein AFB in Germany. I have looked into how an overseas PCS would affect our adoption. And thanks to a wonderful lady living in Germany, who happens to be Air Force, and has started and completed their adoption in Germany through the same adoption agency we are using; as well as a Social Worker I feel at ease pursuing this as our top choice. Now we need to wait to see if it is God's top choice. :)

Isn't it amazing how God puts people in your path to reassure you when you need it?

The kids are all doing well. Asher has been continuing his speech therapy and is saying new things all the time. Now that he can talk it is as if we are getting to know him even better. We can learn his sense of humor and what he thinks about.

Zachariah is the same. He is letting me sleep a bit more at night which is great. He just likes to be held. He especially likes to be talked and have us walk around with him. No sitting or working on your own thing (unless he is nursing or sleeping). He continues to chunk up. He is 8 weeks old now. At 6 weeks he was at the docs and had gained 5 lbs and 3". He is now in 9 month clothing. He is super smilie when talk to him and he likes to talk back. Just a big sweetie.

Josie is still the same big character. She has decided she doesn't like tumbling and wants to go back to ballet. I thought that would happen. She got influenced by watching the Olympics, but I knew she truly liked ballet.

Dave is doing well. He is preparing for his Air Force physical fitness test next week. So he is working out a lot and also going to the chiropractor. So he should be good to go.

And me...The usual stuff. Besides being chosen out of 125 people to be in a class of 25 other people. I have been doing the research on the move and the adoption. And starting to research curriculum for Josie for homeschooling next year. I have been working on MOPS stuff yet. I have to finish the newsletter and the assignment for the marketing class in the next week. And the weather is so nice it would be a shame not to go to the park and play outside every day.

I thought Stay-at-Home moms ate bon-bons every day. Where are my bon-bons? :)

I know where your bonbons are. The kids took them and ate them. Well my kids took mine, except the dark chocolate ones.

I am Christi and I am taking the class with you. I look forward to getting to know everyone better.
