Asher is doing well in Speech Therapy

Asher has been doing very well in Speech Therapy. This week especially. He has been saying so many new words. In addition he is trying to say the first sounds of words that he has never said before. For example, I asked him if he likes lasagna or pizza better. He said, "Pee-Ay". I at least knew which one he was trying to say.

I have had this feeling all along that he lacked confidence. He has the ability. But for some reason he thinks he needs to be perfect or he won't even try.

The picture above is Asher with his Speech Therapist Jeanie. Last week they worked with playdough. He used to call her Jeanie, but now calls her Nee-Nee. He gets so excited when she comes.
